Below are the details of witnesses who contradict Charles Erickson’s account of events from the morning of the crime. |
This entire story from the murder to allegedly returning to the bar covered a 30 minute time frame from 2:15 a.m. to 2:45 a.m. In that time he supposedly:
- Struck the victim with a tire tool
- Saw and spoke to Shawna Ornt the witness
- Saw and spoke to Dallas Mallory
- Returned to the By George Night Club |

These witnesses testified in Ryan's July 2008, 29.15 Hearing. For many of them it was their first time to testify as they were not called during the original trial. |
| 1. Shawna Ornt |
Erickson testified during the trial that:
* he spoke to a cleaning lady (Shawna Ornt) just after the crime
* he walked around the car towards Ornt
* he told Ornt to " Get help, someone is hurt".
* he yelled and was on the verge of tears
* he saw a cord in her hand.

Erickson also testified:
* he had been wearing a long sleeved sweat-shirt with a hood
* he weighed about 150 and was 5 foot 6
* he had black hair
* he was standing at the front of the victim’s car |
Shawna Ornt (the cleaning lady) described the person who spoke to her:
*wore a short sleeved T-shirt
* weighed 200 lbs
* stood 6 foot tall
* had blond hair
* was standing at the rear of the car
* person who spoke to her was calm and composed |
