Shawna Ornt and Jerry Trump both testified there was no equipment kept on that level of the Tribune building that required any type of cord. Both testified neither one held anything with a cord in their hands at that time.

Shawna Ornt testified that she was summonsed to meet with Prosecutor Crane three times prior to Ryan’s trial. Each time she told the Prosecutor that the person she had seen and who had spoken to her was not Ryan or Chuck.

On Shawna’s last visit with Prosecutor Crane he tried to manipulate and pressure her into changing her mind and say that the person she saw was Ryan Ferguson.
Shawna Ornt testified that Prosecutor Crane tried to intimidate her.

This is why Prosecutor Crane never asked the “sole witness” Shawna Ornt if she could identify Ryan as the person she saw and who had spoken to her in the parking lot that night. |

Ryan was seated just a few feet from the witness stand.
Prior to the trial Judge Roper issued a bail of $20,000,000.
This is the highest bail in the history of the United States for any murder.
Ryan had never been charged with a crime or been to court prior to this situation.
The highest bail in the history of Boone County Missouri at this time was $1,000,000.
We feel Judge Roper was prejudice towards Ryan.
Ryan’s trial took place in October 2005.
The trial lasted 5 days.
Ryan was found guilty and sentenced to 40 years.

Prosecutor Crane already knew what her answer would be.
He did not want the jury to have this crucial piece of information.
This led to one of two Brady Violation charges against Prosecutor Crane. |
